ADR Centre:

The purpose built ADR Centre is a fundamental part of the QICDRC service. The QIC operates in partnership with CEDR, one of the world's leading providers of ADR. The Centre provides access to the full range of non-court dispute resolution services in a business friendly environment. The Centre provides for all business needs including access to office support facilities such as secure video and audio conferencing, faxing and copying. All facilities provide WiFi access.

Arbitration:

Users of the QICDRC are free to choose their arbitration rules and procedures. Parties may also choose their own law and jurisdiction. The QIC is a national court of Qatar which is a signatory to the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards 1958.

Mediation:

The QICDRC provides a fully supported mediation facility in partnership with CEDR. This provides access to a worldwide directory of CEDR trained and accredited mediators across all commercial specialist areas.

Neutral Evaluation:

The QICDRC offers parties to a dispute access to judges for an initial evaluation on the merits of the case. This may be binding or non-binding, and provides a speedy judicial indication, on a limited amount of papers, on the merits of the case.

Construction Disputes:

The QICDRC is currently developing a fast track scheme for resolving construction disputes, using specialist construction adjudicators or mediators. We recognise that in large construction programmes businesses cannot afford the delay caused by conventional legal processes, and we will shortly launch a service to provide expert legal determination to ensure critical disputes are resolved in weeks and not months.
