Doha, Qatar: A delegation from the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC), comprising Mr. Faisal Al Sahouti, CEO, Judge Mubarak Al-Hajri, General Legal Counsel and Mr. Hamad Al-Musfir, Legal and Research Associate, has made an official visit to the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts (DIFC Courts).  

The delegation was received by Judge Ali Shams Al Medhani and Mr. Ahmed Al Kamali, Head of International Relations at the DIFC Courts. HE Abdul Aziz Al Hammadi, Consul General of Qatar to the UAE, was also present for part of the scheduled visit and attended part of the meeting. In December 2016, the QICDRC hosted the DIFC Courts in the State of Qatar. This year’s visit by QICDRC to Dubai is part of the ongoing relationship between the two institutions, which involves, amongst other things, exchanging knowledge and experience on matters relating to case administration.  Later, the delegation was introduced to the Wills and Probate Registry at the DIFC. They then met with the representative of the Academy of Law of the Dispute Resolution Authority of the DIFC. The Qatari delegation also met with HE Mr. Taresh Eid Mohammad Al Mansouri, Managing Director of Dubai Courts as well as with other officials from the Dubai Courts. The delegation then received a brief presentation on Dubai Courts’ jurisdiction and procedures.
